World Malaria Day 2025
It Ends With Us

CoBA was proud to support the World Malaria Day 2025 campaign in Kwale County where the Ministry of Health, Kwale County Government, and other key partners conducted a Malaria Campaign focused on prevention, education, and blood donation.

Our Chair, delivered a powerful message on how blood is a weapon in the fight against malaria — and emphasized the urgent need to strengthen the blood eco-system as part of malaria elimination efforts.

The event featured blood drives, public awareness sessions, and community engagement around malaria prevention and treatment.

Within this context, it is imperative that we rec- ognize not just the numbers, but the profound human impact they represent Children under 5 years of age, bearing the brunt of malaria-relat- ed mortality, alongside pregnant women facing heightened risks, underscore the urgency of our collective response. The mortality patterns observed in endemic regions serve as a stark reminder of the formidable challenges we face in combating this ancient scourge.
