The Sickle Cell Disease and Hemophilia Conference (SCDHC), held from June 11th to 13th in Kisumu County, Kenya, provided an excellent platform for CoBA to emphasize the importance of ensuring an adequate and safe blood supply for managing sickle cell disease and hemophilia. CoBA highlighted the critical need for blood donations to ensure a sufficient blood supply for all and played a pivotal role in shaping the conference agenda, which brought together patients, healthcare providers, policymakers, and advocates. The event not only promoted dialogue on advancements in disease management but also showcased CoBA’s dedication to improving healthcare outcomes through strategic advocacy and collaborative efforts.
